This weekend is an exciting one for local Girl Scouts as they are participating in the first-ever G.I.R.L.Trep Weekend (an eastern Missouri Girl Scout Cookie Program® Entrepreneurial enterprise)! Beginning Friday, January 17 through Monday, January 20, our region’s go-getters will connect with friends, neighbors and community members in person while developing those essential life skills of goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

In preparation for the 2020 Girl Scout Cookie Program and this special celebration, a new suite of business branding tools has been created and curated with our eastern Missouri change-makers in mind! These cross-channel marketing tools are located at girlscoutsem.org/cookies and include a number of different options our dedicated adult volunteers, parents, caregivers and G.I.R.L.s can utilize throughout the season! Plus, as the program progresses, it’s worth checking back in periodically as new resources will be added to help support those exciting, upcoming events like the beginning of booths and National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.

The 2020 Girl Scout Cookie Program Business Branding Toolkit is new this year! For the first time, the eastern Missouri Girl Scout community has access to Girl Scout Council-customized assets designed to help supercharge our Girl Scouts’ growing businesses! The toolkit includes:

  • Profile covers;
  • Profile frames;
  • Social media posts;
  • Sample social media posts; and
  • Clover Go app signage designed to be attached to order cards!

For our intrepid Girl Scouts going door-to-door, planning a walkabout or just following up with previous cookie customers, don’t forget to print out a stack of customized Cookie Program sticky-notes to take with you. Simply write in your name and Digital Cookie® URL (or parent email/phone) and tape these to the doors of those who aren’t home. That way, potential cookie customers know exactly how they can order from you!

And speaking (or writing) of Digital Cookie, this platform is just another way our Girl Scouts can superpower their Cookie Program businesses and go beyond door-to-door and booths. By utilizing Digital Cookie, Girl Scouts can set their cookie goals, track their progress, manage orders and inventory, learn Internet safety skills and more all while earning age-specific Cookie business badges and explore ways to help others by investing their earnings back into their communities.

There are so many ways Girl Scouts can market and support their Cookie businesses and we’re always looking to hear about their experiences. If you or your Girl Scout has a story, we’d love to hear! Email Cassandra Lay, Senior Manager, Marketing Communications at clay@girlscoutsem.org to share.
